Job Overview

Chandra Technologies is hiring an experienced Senior Network Engineer Consultant to support a major enterprise networking initiative for the State of South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (SCDMV). This 12-month onsite contract is ideal for highly skilled network engineering professionals with extensive experience managing Cisco enterprise infrastructure, Palo Alto firewalls, VPN technologies, and secure network operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, install, maintain, and upgrade enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Administer Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN environments.
  • Manage Palo Alto firewall administration and security policies.
  • Support Fortinet, Citrix NetScaler, Cisco Meraki, and related networking technologies.
  • Troubleshoot complex network outages, connectivity issues, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Monitor network health using enterprise monitoring and tracing tools.
  • Maintain accurate network architecture diagrams and technical documentation.
  • Ensure network security, compliance, and operational stability.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams.
  • Provide technical knowledge transfer and operational support.
  • Participate in after-hours and weekend support when required.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred).

Experience

  • 10+ years of Cisco Network Administration.
  • 10+ years of experience with Cisco Firewalls, Routers, Switches, and VPN technologies.
  • 5+ years of Palo Alto Firewall administration.
  • Experience with enterprise routing and switching.
  • Experience supporting core network architecture.
  • Experience with enterprise monitoring and tracing tools.
  • Hybrid cloud and wireless networking experience preferred.

Certifications

Preferred certifications include:

  • CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
  • CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
