Job Overview
Chandra Technologies is hiring an experienced Senior Network Engineer Consultant to support a major enterprise networking initiative for the State of South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (SCDMV). This 12-month onsite contract is ideal for highly skilled network engineering professionals with extensive experience managing Cisco enterprise infrastructure, Palo Alto firewalls, VPN technologies, and secure network operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Configure, install, maintain, and upgrade enterprise network infrastructure.
- Administer Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN environments.
- Manage Palo Alto firewall administration and security policies.
- Support Fortinet, Citrix NetScaler, Cisco Meraki, and related networking technologies.
- Troubleshoot complex network outages, connectivity issues, and performance bottlenecks.
- Monitor network health using enterprise monitoring and tracing tools.
- Maintain accurate network architecture diagrams and technical documentation.
- Ensure network security, compliance, and operational stability.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams.
- Provide technical knowledge transfer and operational support.
- Participate in after-hours and weekend support when required.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred).
Experience
- 10+ years of Cisco Network Administration.
- 10+ years of experience with Cisco Firewalls, Routers, Switches, and VPN technologies.
- 5+ years of Palo Alto Firewall administration.
- Experience with enterprise routing and switching.
- Experience supporting core network architecture.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring and tracing tools.
- Hybrid cloud and wireless networking experience preferred.
Certifications
Preferred certifications include:
- CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
