Job Overview
Chandra Technologies is seeking an experienced Intermediate Security Analyst to support cybersecurity initiatives for the State of South Carolina. This 12-month contract opportunity is ideal for cybersecurity professionals with experience in enterprise security operations, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Insider Risk Management, Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), and incident response.
The selected candidate will play a critical role in protecting sensitive government information by monitoring security controls, investigating cybersecurity incidents, supporting compliance initiatives, and improving the organization’s overall security posture. The role requires collaboration with technical teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to ensure effective implementation of security policies and risk management practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and administer Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and security controls.
- Investigate data loss incidents, unauthorized access, and sensitive data exposure.
- Support Insider Risk Management, AI/Copilot Data Security, and Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) initiatives.
- Review, analyze, and triage cybersecurity alerts and security events.
- Document investigation findings and escalate security incidents when required.
- Participate in vendor security assessments and third-party risk evaluations.
- Support cybersecurity audits, compliance reviews, and enterprise risk assessments.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and business teams to improve cybersecurity posture.
- Prepare security reports, dashboards, metrics, and recommendations.
- Recommend improvements to cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of enterprise cybersecurity operations experience.
- Experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
- Experience with Insider Risk Management.
- Experience with Data Security Posture Management (DSPM).
- Experience investigating security alerts, incident response, and enterprise risk analysis.
- Experience supporting cybersecurity compliance and governance activities.
