Job Overview
MSRCosmos is seeking an experienced Senior Oracle GoldenGate Consultant for a six-month remote contract opportunity supporting enterprise data replication and high-availability database environments. This position is ideal for senior database professionals with extensive expertise in Oracle GoldenGate, replication architecture, database administration, and enterprise cloud deployments.
The successful candidate will manage Oracle GoldenGate replication processes, monitor production environments, troubleshoot replication issues, optimize performance, and support mission-critical database infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with database administrators, infrastructure engineers, application teams, and operations personnel to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing replication pipelines across multiple environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage Oracle GoldenGate Extract, Pump, and Replicat processes across development, testing, and production environments.
- Monitor replication lag, trail files, disk utilization, and replication pipeline health.
- Troubleshoot ABENDs, checkpoint issues, trail corruption, and replication failures.
- Perform restart, recovery, failover, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Validate replication pipelines and perform data reconciliation activities.
- Configure and maintain DDL replication while onboarding new database objects.
- Optimize Oracle GoldenGate performance through tuning, batching, and parallel processing.
- Support release management activities and deployment of replication pipelines.
- Collaborate with DBAs, application developers, network engineers, and infrastructure teams to resolve production issues.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and system runbooks.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
Experience
- Extensive enterprise experience administering Oracle GoldenGate environments.
- Experience supporting production database replication and high-availability solutions.
- Strong background in Oracle Database Administration and enterprise replication technologies.
