Job Overview

A leading organization is urgently hiring experienced Testing & Commissioning Engineers for a 6-month Oil & Gas Shutdown Project in Kuwait. This is an excellent opportunity for highly skilled electrical engineering professionals with extensive experience in testing, commissioning, and maintaining substation equipment within the oil and gas industry.

The successful candidates will be responsible for testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and validating electrical systems and substation equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. The role requires extensive technical expertise, adherence to industry standards, and collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams during the shutdown project.

This position offers valuable project experience within Kuwait’s oil and gas sector while providing opportunities for professional development and exposure to critical electrical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform testing and commissioning of electrical equipment and substation systems.
• Conduct inspection, troubleshooting, and functional testing of CTs, PTs, Transformers, Circuit Breakers, Switchgear (SWGRs), Meters, and Auxiliary Equipment.
• Execute shutdown maintenance and commissioning activities according to project schedules.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, engineering standards, and quality procedures.
• Prepare testing reports, commissioning documentation, and technical records.
• Coordinate with project engineers, clients, and maintenance teams during project execution.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during testing and commissioning activities.
• Support successful project completion within the scheduled shutdown period.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Testing and Commissioning.
• Mandatory experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proven experience with electrical substation equipment and shutdown projects is highly preferred.

Certifications

• Relevant electrical engineering and commissioning certifications are advantageous.
• Professional development and industry-recognized technical certifications are preferred.
