Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join a technology team in Abu Dhabi. The position is suited to senior technology professionals with 10+ years of overall experience, including at least 5 years working as a Solution Architect or Enterprise Architect.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing scalable technology architectures across mobile applications, microservices, APIs, cloud platforms, event-driven systems, and digital commerce environments. Strong expertise in Azure or MuleSoft, Kafka or Event Hubs, and architecture for e-commerce, marketplace, or omnichannel platforms is required.

Experience in retail, hospitality, travel, attractions, or digital commerce is highly valuable. Key Responsibilities

• Design and define scalable solution architectures for enterprise applications and digital platforms.
• Develop architecture strategies for mobile applications and supporting backend ecosystems.
• Design microservices-based architectures and API-driven solutions.
• Define integration architectures using Azure, MuleSoft, Kafka, Event Hubs, or related technologies.
• Design event-driven and distributed application architectures.
• Support e-commerce, marketplace, and omnichannel technology platforms.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and reliable technical architectures.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, business, and technology teams to deliver architecture solutions.
• Evaluate technology platforms, integration approaches, and architectural patterns.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, scalability, performance, and operational requirements.
• Provide technical guidance to development and engineering teams.
• Contribute to architecture documentation, standards, and technical governance.
• Identify opportunities to modernize existing systems and improve technology platforms.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall professional experience in technology or software engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect or Enterprise Architect.
• Strong experience with mobile application architecture.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
• Strong experience with API architecture and integration.
• Experience with Azure and/or MuleSoft.
• Experience with Kafka and/or Azure Event Hubs.
• Experience designing architectures for e-commerce, marketplace, or omnichannel platforms.
• Strong understanding of distributed and event-driven architectures.
• Experience translating business requirements into enterprise technology solutions.
• Strong knowledge of scalability, reliability, security, integration, and performance considerations.
• Experience in Retail, Hospitality, Travel, Attractions, or Digital Commerce is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
