Job Overview

A leading banking organization in Dubai is seeking an experienced Software Engineer – QA / QA Engineer to support the quality assurance and testing of enterprise applications, APIs, and digital banking solutions. The role is suited to a quality engineering professional with strong experience across manual, API, integration, and automation testing within complex technology environments.

The successful candidate will contribute to end-to-end software quality by validating enterprise applications, APIs, integrations, performance, and security requirements. Experience in banking, financial services, digital banking, payments, lending, or FinTech environments is highly preferred, particularly where candidates have worked within regulated and compliance-driven organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual, API, integration, and automation testing for enterprise applications.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, and validation strategies.
• Validate REST APIs using Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, SoapUI, and related tools.
• Perform API validation involving JSON, XML, OAuth 2.0, JWT, and microservices.
• Develop and maintain automated test solutions using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Rest Assured, or Karate.
• Conduct database validation using SQL and technologies such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• Perform integration and end-to-end testing across enterprise systems.
• Execute performance testing using JMeter, LoadRunner, NeoLoad, or comparable tools.
• Contribute to security testing and validate applications against OWASP and API security principles.
• Integrate testing activities into Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and CI/CD workflows.
• Work with GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, SonarQube, and related development and quality platforms.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects through resolution.
• Participate in code reviews, test planning, release validation, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure software releases meet defined quality, security, performance, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain testing documentation and support audit and compliance requirements within regulated environments.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional QA or software testing experience.
• At least 3 years of experience testing enterprise applications and APIs.
• Strong experience in manual, API, integration, and automation testing.
• Banking, financial services, digital banking, payments, lending, or FinTech experience is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, and SoapUI.
• Experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Rest Assured, Karate, or comparable automation frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, XML, OAuth 2.0, JWT, and microservices.
• Strong SQL knowledge with experience in Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and CI/CD methodologies.
• Experience with GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and SonarQube.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or NeoLoad.
• Understanding of security testing, OWASP principles, and API security.
• Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Relevant QA, software testing, automation, API, security, or performance testing certifications are advantageous.
