An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Software Engineer (Node.js & AWS) to join a growing technology team in a fully remote role across the United States. The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain cloud-based applications while modernizing legacy systems, developing secure RESTful APIs, and supporting data migration initiatives. Working within an Agile environment, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software solutions that meet business and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Node.js applications.
  • Build, enhance, and maintain secure RESTful APIs.
  • Develop cloud-based applications using AWS services.
  • Extract, transform, and migrate data from legacy systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex software and infrastructure issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in software architecture, solution design, and technical planning.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
  • Utilize Git and Docker for source control and containerized deployments.
  • Ensure software quality, scalability, security, and maintainability.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and engineering best practices.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional Node.js development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including AWS Lambda.
  • Experience developing and maintaining REST APIs.
  • Strong knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency with Git version control.
  • Experience using Docker for containerized application development.
  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Experience supporting legacy application modernization and data extraction.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous consulting experience.
  • Experience developing cloud-native applications on AWS.
  • AWS certifications or other cloud-related professional certifications are considered an advantage.
