Job Overview

A leading developer of large-scale data center infrastructure is seeking an experienced Senior / Principal Electrical Engineer to join its Design and Project Development team in Dubai. The role will support the delivery of hyperscale and mission-critical data center projects, contributing to critical electrical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.

The successful candidate will work across electrical design, technical due diligence, consultant coordination, construction, site activities, and commissioning. Strong knowledge of mission-critical power infrastructure, including MV/LV distribution, UPS systems, generators, switchgear, and associated electrical systems, will be essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the electrical engineering design and development of hyperscale and mission-critical data center projects.
• Review electrical designs, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Provide technical input during project development and electrical design activities.
• Conduct technical due diligence and identify electrical engineering risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate with electrical consultants, contractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
• Review technical submissions and ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Support construction and site activities related to electrical infrastructure.
• Participate in electrical testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
• Provide technical oversight of MV/LV distribution systems and mission-critical power infrastructure.
• Work with UPS systems, generators, switchgear, and other critical electrical systems.
• Support design reviews and technical decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Apply engineering standards and best practices across data center electrical systems.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum 4+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Proven experience working on data centers or other critical infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of MV/LV electrical distribution systems.
• Experience with UPS systems, generators, switchgear, and mission-critical power infrastructure.
• Strong AutoCAD capability.
• Experience with electrical design reviews and technical submissions.
• Experience with construction/site works and commissioning.
• Strong consultant and contractor coordination skills.
• Middle East/UAE project experience is preferred.
• Strong technical, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project development and delivery teams.
• Relevant professional engineering certifications or additional technical certifications would support continued professional development.

Salary, Benefits & Career Growth

Salary: AED 30,000–40,000 per month.
