Job Overview

KalSoft is seeking an experienced Senior PL/SQL Developer – ODS to support banking and financial services technology projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role is focused on Oracle database development, PL/SQL programming, Operational Data Store (ODS) solutions, data warehousing, and banking data systems.

The successful candidate will work with Oracle databases and develop high-performance PL/SQL solutions supporting banking data integration and source systems. The role requires strong expertise in SQL optimization, procedures, functions, triggers, packages, data warehousing, and ODS environments, along with knowledge of Saudi Arabia banking projects and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize PL/SQL solutions for banking data systems.
• Design and support Operational Data Store (ODS) environments.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.
• Support banking data integration with source systems.
• Work with data warehousing environments and related data processes.
• Analyze and optimize database performance.
• Troubleshoot database and PL/SQL-related issues.
• Support data integration and information flow across banking systems.
• Implement database development and deployment practices.
• Ensure appropriate data security and access-control measures.
• Support compliance with relevant banking security and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with business, technical, and banking technology teams.
• Participate in the complete development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of banking data platforms and database solutions.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of PL/SQL and Oracle development experience.
• Strong experience within banking or financial services environments.
• Hands-on experience with ODS and data warehousing.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL optimization.
• Strong experience with procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.
• Experience with banking data integration and source systems.
• Saudi Arabia project experience is required.
• Knowledge of SAMA regulations and banking compliance requirements.
• Strong understanding of data security and access control.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder collaboration capabilities.

Good to Have

• Experience with CI/CD and database deployment automation.
• Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or Kanban environments.
• Knowledge of ETL tools.
• Relevant Oracle database, data engineering, or banking technology certifications.
