An opportunity is available for a Senior Officer – Cybersecurity & Governance in Abu Dhabi, UAE, for an experienced cybersecurity professional with 5+ years of relevant experience. The role focuses on information security governance, policy management, ISMS activities, compliance monitoring, audit coordination, and cybersecurity documentation.
The successful candidate will maintain the enterprise information security policy framework and support alignment with recognized security standards including ISO 27001, NIST, and IEC 62443. The position will also contribute to annual ISMS reviews, control effectiveness assessments, internal and external audits, compliance reporting, and remediation tracking.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the enterprise information security policy library.
- Ensure information security policies aligned with ISO 27001, NIST, and IEC 62443 remain current and approved.
- Ensure security policies and governance documents are accessible to relevant stakeholders.
- Support the annual Information Security Management System (ISMS) review cycle.
- Prepare evidence packs and documentation required for ISMS reviews and audits.
- Track information security control effectiveness.
- Coordinate internal and external information security audit activities.
- Monitor policy compliance across organizational functions.
- Identify and document policy deviations and compliance gaps.
- Escalate deviations to the Head of Cyber Security & Governance with supporting evidence.
- Recommend appropriate remediation actions for identified compliance issues.
- Maintain the cyber governance documentation library, including policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
- Ensure appropriate version control and timely updates of governance documentation.
- Contribute to the development of Scope of Work documents.
- Support documentation requirements for LVOs, RFXs, and related procurement processes.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to maintain effective cybersecurity governance practices.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience in cybersecurity, information security, governance, risk, or compliance.
- Strong understanding of information security governance frameworks.
- Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, and IEC 62443-aligned security practices.
- Experience supporting ISMS review and audit activities.
- Experience with security policy development, maintenance, and compliance monitoring.
- Strong documentation and version-control skills.
- Understanding of information security controls and remediation processes.
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Relevant cybersecurity, information security, governance, risk, or compliance certifications are advantageous.
