Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join a Malaysia-based onsite technology team supporting enterprise network operations, infrastructure stability, troubleshooting, configuration, monitoring, and technical support. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Cisco routing and switching, network security, firewalls, load balancing, and enterprise network monitoring technologies.

This role is particularly suited to professionals with 5+ years of network engineering experience and prior banking domain exposure. Candidates should demonstrate strong capabilities in incident management, network troubleshooting, security compliance, infrastructure monitoring, and maintaining high availability across critical enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support enterprise network operations in a production environment.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Cisco routing and switching infrastructure.
• Administer and troubleshoot enterprise firewalls, including Palo Alto, Fortinet, and F5 technologies.
• Support load balancers and ensure network services remain stable and highly available.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and infrastructure health using tools such as SolarWinds, ExtraHop, and Gigamon.
• Investigate and resolve network incidents, connectivity issues, and performance-related problems.
• Participate in incident management and root-cause analysis for critical network issues.
• Maintain network security compliance and follow established infrastructure and security standards.
• Perform network configuration changes, upgrades, and technical maintenance activities.
• Monitor infrastructure stability and proactively identify potential network risks.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, application, and other technical teams to resolve complex issues.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, configurations, and incident records.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in network engineering or network operations.
• Strong experience with Cisco Routing and Switching.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise firewalls such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, and/or F5.
• Experience with load balancers and enterprise network infrastructure.
• Practical experience with network monitoring and visibility platforms such as SolarWinds, ExtraHop, and Gigamon.
• Previous banking domain experience is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of network troubleshooting, incident management, infrastructure monitoring, and security compliance.
• CCNP, HCIP, HCIE, or an equivalent networking certification is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
• Ability to work onsite in Malaysia and support enterprise production environments.
