Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior .NET API Developer to join a growing technology team in Sydney, Australia. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for professionals with extensive experience in enterprise API development, microservices architecture, and cloud-native integration solutions. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs and event-driven integration platforms that support enterprise applications and digital transformation initiatives. Working with modern Microsoft technologies and cloud platforms, you will contribute to the delivery of secure, high-performance solutions while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade REST APIs using C# and .NET Core/.NET 6+.
- Build scalable microservices and cloud-native integration solutions.
- Develop event-driven applications using Azure Event Hub, Azure Service Bus, Kafka, and RabbitMQ.
- Implement and manage APIs through Apigee API Gateway.
- Develop secure authentication and authorization using OAuth and JWT.
- Integrate applications using JSON-based APIs and SQL Server databases.
- Build, test, and deploy applications using Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and OpenShift.
- Optimize API performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement continuous improvements.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Senior .NET API Developer or similar backend development role.
- Strong experience designing enterprise APIs and microservices.
- Experience developing cloud-native and event-driven integration solutions.
