Job Overview

An experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer is required to support industrial services, shutdown, turnaround, mechanical inspection, and asset integrity activities in Saudi Arabia. The position is suited to professionals with 10–15 years of industrial experience and a strong technical background in mechanical inspection, static equipment, piping systems, and industrial asset integrity.

The successful candidate will contribute to shutdown and turnaround projects across demanding industrial environments, including refineries, petrochemical plants, mining, metals, power plants, and other heavy industries. Responsibilities will include technical assessments, site surveys, inspections, tender and RFQ reviews, client coordination, technical reporting, and support for technical and commercial proposals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support industrial shutdown and turnaround projects from technical planning through execution.
  • Conduct mechanical inspections, technical assessments, and site surveys.
  • Evaluate static equipment, pressure vessels, storage tanks, heat exchangers, and piping systems.
  • Support mechanical inspection and asset integrity activities across industrial facilities.
  • Review RFQs, technical specifications, scopes of work, and tender documentation.
  • Participate in client meetings, technical discussions, and presentations.
  • Support the preparation of technical and commercial proposals.
  • Prepare clear and accurate technical reports and inspection documentation.
  • Coordinate with clients, project teams, inspection personnel, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide technical input on mechanical engineering and inspection requirements.
  • Support the safe, efficient, and timely execution of shutdown and turnaround activities.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 10–15 years of relevant industrial experience.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in shutdown and turnaround projects.
  • Strong experience in mechanical inspection and asset integrity.
  • Industrial experience within one or more of the following sectors:
    • Refineries
    • Petrochemical plants
    • Mining
    • Metals
    • Power plants
    • Heavy industries
  • Strong technical knowledge of:
    • Static equipment
    • Pressure vessels
    • Storage tanks
    • Heat exchangers
    • Piping systems
  • Experience reviewing RFQs, technical specifications, scopes of work, and tender documents.
  • Ability to conduct site surveys, technical assessments, and inspections.
  • Experience participating in client meetings and technical presentations.
  • Experience supporting technical and commercial proposal preparation.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and technical reporting skills.

Mandatory Certifications

Candidates must hold the following certifications:

  • API 510 – Pressure Vessel Inspector
  • API 570 – Piping Inspector
  • One of the following welding inspector certifications:
    • AWS CWI – Certified Welding Inspector, or
    • CSWIP Certified Welding Inspector
