Job Overview

KalSoft is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join its technology team in Riyadh and contribute to modern, cloud-ready solutions for banking and financial services applications. The successful candidate will contribute across the complete software development lifecycle, including solution design, development, testing, deployment, and production support. Strong experience within banking or financial services environments is required, along with knowledge of Saudi Arabia project environments, SAMA regulatory requirements, banking security, and secure software development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise Java applications.
• Build scalable microservices using Java and Quarkus.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs for banking and financial applications.
• Integrate applications with core banking and financial systems.
• Develop cloud-ready and containerized application solutions.
• Apply secure coding practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Participate in application design and architecture activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application and production issues.
• Support testing, deployment, and post-production activities.
• Work with Docker and container technologies to support cloud-native applications.
• Ensure solutions comply with relevant banking security and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to Agile development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support CI/CD and automated deployment practices where applicable.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong experience working on banking or financial services projects.
• Hands-on experience with Quarkus or strong Spring Boot experience with willingness to work with Quarkus.
• Strong experience developing microservices and REST APIs.
• Experience integrating applications with core banking and financial systems.
• Good knowledge of Docker, containers, and cloud-native development.
• Saudi Arabia project experience is required.
• Knowledge of SAMA regulations and banking security and compliance requirements.
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices.
• Experience across the complete SDLC, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or Kanban environments.
• Relevant Java, cloud, Kubernetes, or DevOps certifications are advantageous.
