Job Overview

Pioneer Engineering Consultancy LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join its team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will contribute to major infrastructure and mega projects, providing specialist electrical design expertise across complex project environments.

The role involves electrical design for MV/LV networks, substations, transformers, switchgear, power distribution, lighting, earthing, and lightning protection systems. The engineer will also prepare technical drawings, BOQs, specifications, design reports, and electrical calculations while coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute electrical design activities for infrastructure and mega projects.
• Design and coordinate MV/LV electrical networks and power distribution systems.
• Develop designs for substations, transformers, and switchgear systems.
• Design and coordinate lighting systems.
• Develop earthing and lightning protection system designs.
• Prepare electrical drawings, BOQs, specifications, and design reports.
• Perform electrical calculations and technical assessments.
• Apply relevant SEC, SBC, IEC, IEEE, and NFPA standards to project designs.
• Develop and review electrical models using applicable BIM and design platforms.
• Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, mechanical, civil, structural, and other disciplines.
• Review technical documentation and ensure design quality and accuracy.
• Support project teams in resolving electrical design and coordination issues.
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary project stakeholders.
• Ensure electrical design deliverables are completed in accordance with project requirements and schedules.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical design.
• Proven experience on infrastructure and mega projects in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • MV/LV networks
  • Substations
  • Transformers
  • Switchgear
  • Power distribution
  • Lighting systems
  • Earthing systems
  • Lightning protection systems
• Knowledge of SEC, SBC, IEC, IEEE, and NFPA standards.
• Proficiency in:
  • ETAP
  • DIALux evo
  • AutoCAD
  • Revit MEP
  • Navisworks
• Experience preparing electrical drawings, BOQs, specifications, design reports, and calculations.
• Strong multidisciplinary coordination and communication skills.
• Immediate or short-notice joining capability is preferred.
