Job Overview

A leading organization in Abu Dhabi, UAE, is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join its data engineering team. This is an on-site opportunity for professionals with strong expertise in AWS cloud services, modern data lake and lakehouse architectures, and large-scale data engineering.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and supporting scalable ETL and ELT pipelines and working with cloud-based data platforms including Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Amazon Athena, and Amazon Redshift. Strong knowledge of Apache Iceberg, SQL, data modeling, and Python will be essential for delivering reliable and high-performance data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data engineering pipelines.
• Build and optimize large-scale ETL and ELT workflows.
• Develop cloud-based data solutions using AWS services.
• Work extensively with Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Amazon Athena, and Amazon Redshift.
• Implement and support modern data lake and lakehouse architectures.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services.
• Advanced experience with Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Amazon Athena, and Amazon Redshift.
• Practical experience with Apache Iceberg.
• Strong understanding of modern data lake and lakehouse architectures.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering and automation.
• Proven experience building and managing large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong understanding of data engineering principles and cloud-based architectures.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Candidates must currently be based in the UAE.
• Immediate availability is required.
