Job Overview

NTG Clarity is seeking an experienced Senior Android Engineer to join its team and work onsite on a project for a leading digital bank in Egypt. The role focuses on developing, maintaining, and releasing high-quality Android applications designed to support large user bases and high-traffic consumer environments.

The successful candidate will work closely with Backend, QA, Product, and Design teams within Agile/Scrum environments. The position requires strong expertise in Android development, application architecture, security, testing, CI/CD, version control, and Firebase services, along with the ability to mentor junior and mid-level developers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance production-grade Android applications.
• Build scalable Android solutions capable of supporting large user bases.
• Design and implement applications using modern Android architecture patterns such as MVI and MVVM.
• Apply SOLID principles and established software engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with Backend, QA, Product, and Design teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Manage application releases and deployments through Google Play.
• Implement Android security best practices.
• Develop and maintain unit tests to support application quality and reliability.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated development workflows.
• Use Git and version control systems effectively.
• Implement and maintain Firebase services, particularly Notifications, Crashlytics, and Remote Config.
• Mentor junior and mid-level Android developers.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to continuous application improvement.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Proven experience building and maintaining production applications with large user bases.
• Strong experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.
• Experience releasing Android applications through Google Play.
• Strong collaboration experience with Backend, QA, Product, and Design teams.
• Experience mentoring junior and mid-level developers.
• Strong knowledge of Android development and core Android components.
• Strong understanding of SOLID principles.
• Experience with Android architecture patterns, including MVI and MVVM.
• Knowledge of Android security practices.
• Experience with unit testing.
• Experience with CI/CD.
• Strong Git and version control knowledge.
• Experience with Firebase, particularly Notifications, Crashlytics, and Remote Config.

Preferred Industry Experience

Experience in one or more of the following sectors is preferred:

• Banking
• FinTech
• Payment Systems
• Digital Wallets
• Healthcare
• Telecommunications
• E-commerce
• High-traffic consumer applications

Experience with applications exceeding 100,000 downloads or supporting large active user bases is highly preferred.
