Job Overview

A leading organization is seeking an experienced Safety Officer for an immediate project opportunity in Doha, Qatar. This six-month contract, with the possibility of extension, is ideal for health, safety, and environment (HSE) professionals who have extensive experience supporting civil building construction projects across the Gulf region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting workplace safety, ensuring compliance with HSE regulations, and implementing effective environmental, health, and safety management systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-profile construction projects while advancing professional development through industry-recognized safety practices and certification-based expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management systems.
• Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and HSE audits.
• Monitor compliance with company safety policies and local regulations.
• Lead incident investigations and recommend preventive actions.
• Prepare and maintain HSE documentation, reports, and records.
• Develop and implement emergency response procedures.
• Deliver safety briefings and toolbox talks to project personnel.
• Promote a strong safety culture across construction sites.
• Coordinate with project management to ensure continuous HSE compliance.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering (minimum three-year course).
• NEBOSH IGC 3 certification (issued on or before 2022) is mandatory.
• IOSH certification.
• OSHA certification.
• Minimum 5 years of Gulf experience in Civil Building Construction.
• Must be currently available in Qatar for immediate joining.
• Strong knowledge of EHS Management Systems.
• Experience conducting HSE audits and workplace inspections.
• Expertise in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
• Proficiency in HSE documentation, reporting, and emergency response procedures.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
