Job Overview

An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced QC Mechanical Inspector (Equipment) to join major Oil & Gas, Desalination, and Pipeline Projects in Qatar. This role is ideal for mechanical engineering professionals with strong expertise in quality control, equipment inspection, and compliance within large-scale industrial projects across the GCC.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of rotating and static equipment installations through detailed inspections, testing, and documentation. Working closely with project teams and clients, the QC Mechanical Inspector will help maintain compliance with industry standards and project specifications while contributing to continuous quality improvement and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed physical inspections of rotating and static equipment installations.
• Verify shaft alignment, equipment leveling, and grouting activities.
• Witness and certify hydrotesting, pneumatic testing, and pressure testing of mechanical equipment and connected piping.
• Inspect installation activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Lead punch list inspections and coordinate punch list clearance.
• Identify, document, and monitor Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Prepare quality inspection reports and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate with construction, engineering, and client representatives during inspections.
• Ensure all quality control activities comply with applicable industry codes and project requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of dedicated GCC experience in static and rotating equipment inspection within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Strong knowledge of quality control procedures for mechanical equipment installation.
• Experience witnessing hydrotests, pneumatic tests, and pressure testing.
• Familiarity with rotating equipment alignment, leveling, and grouting procedures.
• Experience preparing inspection reports, NCRs, and quality documentation.
• Good understanding of international quality standards and inspection practices.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
