Job Overview

A leading telecommunications organization is hiring an experienced PS Core Operations Engineer to join its network operations team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is ideal for telecom professionals with expertise in Ericsson Packet Switched (PS) Core technologies, network operations, troubleshooting, and performance optimization across 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G mobile core networks.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the health and performance of PS Core infrastructure, supporting network expansion, implementing configuration changes, and ensuring service reliability. Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily health checks, quarterly audits, and support special events for Ericsson PS Core nodes, including MME, SGSN, GGSN, SAPC, EPG, PCC, PCG, SAPC, SMF, UPF, and related platforms.
• Troubleshoot network faults, capacity-related issues, and performance degradation tickets.
• Manage subscriber sessions, PDP contexts, bearer handling, and IMSI tracing.
• Configure APNs, IMSI ranges, rating groups, and QoS profiles.
• Configure PCC rules, PDR, QER, FAR, and URR policies, and integrate with PCRF and SAPC.
• Manage DNS, NAPTR, and SRV configurations for IMS and EPC services.
• Support integration of new PS Core nodes, including vEPG, vMME, and vUPF on cloud and Kubernetes environments.
• Plan and implement software upgrades, patches, and capacity expansion activities.
• Analyze KPI trends, including attach success, bearer setup, handover success, latency, and throughput.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, Expect, and AWK.
• Handle customer service requests and provide operational support.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience

• 3–6 years of experience in PS Core Operations.
• Experience working with Ericsson PS Core platforms is preferred.
