Job Overview
The Planning Supervisor will oversee demand forecasting, material requirements planning, and inventory flow across hospital operations in Riyadh. The role is responsible for aligning supply capabilities with clinical, administrative, and facility management requirements to support continuous service delivery, reduce stockout risks, and optimize inventory levels across the hospital ecosystem.
The successful candidate will coordinate with Nursing, Clinical Operations, Facilities, IT, Finance, Procurement, and Logistics teams to plan inventory requirements, manage non-routine procurement needs, and respond to seasonal changes and major operational projects. The position requires strong expertise in inventory planning, ERP-based Material Requirements Planning (MRP), forecasting, and supply chain performance management.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop demand forecasts for clinical consumables, non-clinical supplies, administrative materials, and facility spares.
- Analyze patient volume trends and departmental requisitions to determine future inventory requirements.
- Coordinate with Nursing, Clinical Operations, Facilities, IT, Finance, and other departments regarding supply planning requirements.
- Plan inventory requirements for non-routine procurement, major projects, and seasonal demand increases.
- Establish and review inventory targets, minimum and maximum stock levels, safety stock, and reorder points.
- Optimize inventory levels across central hospital warehouses and ward-level sub-stores.
- Oversee MRP processes within the hospital ERP or HIS platform.
- Ensure timely purchase requisitions and effective inventory buffer management.
- Monitor supplier lead times and delivery schedules in coordination with procurement and logistics teams.
- Maintain uninterrupted material flow throughout hospital operations.
- Implement FIFO and FEFO inventory rotation procedures.
- Minimize material expiry, obsolescence, waste, and scrap.
- Monitor forecast accuracy, stockout frequency, inventory turnover, and order fulfillment rates.
- Prepare and analyze supply chain performance reports and KPIs.
- Lead, schedule, and evaluate planning analysts, store supervisors, and inventory coordinators.
- Coordinate cross-functional planning activities to improve supply chain efficiency and service continuity.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in supply chain planning and inventory management.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or senior planning role within a hospital or healthcare environment.
- Minimum 3 years of work experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is preferred.
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, TrackCare, or similar platforms.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of consumption data analysis and statistical forecasting.
- Ability to evaluate demand trends and develop accurate inventory forecasts.
- Strong understanding of inventory control, MRP, reorder optimization, and material flow.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent cross-departmental coordination and communication skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
