Job Overview
Marina Marine Services QFZ LLC is seeking an experienced and motivated Planning Engineer to support marine offshore construction projects in Qatar. The role is suited to engineering professionals with 3–5 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, particularly those with practical exposure to marine offshore construction environments.
The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring progress, preparing reports, and coordinating manpower and resource plans. Experience with diving operations and Diving Support Vessel projects is highly preferred, while strong knowledge of offshore construction activities and project interfaces is essential for successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for marine offshore construction projects.
- Prepare project planning and scheduling documentation.
- Develop look-ahead plans and monitor project activities against approved schedules.
- Track project progress, milestones, critical paths, and schedule performance.
- Identify delays, schedule deviations, risks, and potential impacts on project delivery.
- Prepare regular progress reports for project management and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain manpower and resource plans.
- Coordinate planning activities with engineering, construction, offshore, and project teams.
- Monitor project interfaces and dependencies across different workstreams.
- Support schedule recovery and mitigation planning when delays occur.
- Update project schedules based on actual progress and approved changes.
- Provide planning information to support project decision-making.
- Maintain accurate project controls and scheduling records.
- Support effective coordination of offshore marine construction activities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
- Proven experience in marine offshore construction projects.
- Experience with Diving Operations or Diving Support Vessel projects is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
- Experience preparing project schedules, look-ahead plans, progress reports, and manpower/resource plans.
- Experience monitoring milestones, critical paths, delays, and schedule deviations.
- Good understanding of offshore marine construction activities and project interfaces.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Relevant project planning, project controls, or scheduling certifications are advantageous.
