Job Overview
An excellent contract opportunity is available for an experienced Piping Inspector to support major Oil & Gas projects in Qatar. This position is ideal for inspection professionals with extensive experience in piping systems, material inspection, and quality assurance within industrial and energy sector projects. The contract is initially for 6 months with the possibility of extension based on project requirements and performance.
The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting piping systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable industry standards, and quality requirements. Candidates with expertise in inspecting both GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) and metallic piping materials, who are available for immediate joining and comfortable working night shifts, are encouraged to apply. This role offers valuable experience on large-scale Oil & Gas projects and excellent opportunities for continued professional growth in inspection and quality management.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspection activities for piping systems used in Oil & Gas projects.
- Inspect GRP and metallic piping materials to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Verify installation quality in accordance with applicable engineering codes and standards.
- Review piping inspection reports and technical documentation.
- Identify quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with project engineers, QA/QC teams, and construction personnel.
- Ensure compliance with client specifications, safety regulations, and quality procedures.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
- Support project quality assurance and quality control activities.
- Participate in project inspections during assigned night shifts.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
Experience
- 7–10 years of experience in similar projects or the Oil & Gas industry.
- Proven experience inspecting GRP and metallic piping materials.
- Immediate joiners are preferred.
