Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator for a 3-month contract opportunity in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with the possibility of extension. This position is specifically open to immediate joiners who can take responsibility for the administration, availability, performance, backup, recovery, and maintenance of enterprise Oracle database environments.

The successful candidate will manage Oracle databases across Development, Test, UAT, and Production environments and will be responsible for Oracle Data Guard, RMAN backup and recovery, Oracle ASM, database monitoring, performance optimization, patching, and troubleshooting. The role requires strong hands-on database administration experience and the ability to support business-critical database environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain Oracle Database environments.
• Administer Oracle databases across Development, Test, UAT, and Production environments.
• Implement, configure, and manage Oracle Data Guard environments.
• Support both Physical and Logical Standby configurations.
• Monitor database health, performance, storage, capacity, and availability.
• Perform database backup and recovery using Oracle RMAN.
• Troubleshoot database performance, availability, and operational issues.
• Manage Oracle ASM environments.
• Support database maintenance and operational activities across enterprise environments.
• Use Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting for database administration and automation.
• Monitor and maintain database reliability and business continuity.
• Support database upgrades, patches, and configuration changes.
• Maintain appropriate database administration documentation and operational procedures.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration.
• Strong expertise in Oracle Data Guard configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Strong experience with Oracle RMAN backup and recovery.
• Experience with Oracle 11g, 12c, 19c, or later versions.
• Practical experience with Oracle ASM.
• Experience working in Linux/Unix environments.
• Knowledge of shell scripting for automation.
• Strong database performance monitoring and troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding of database availability, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Must be available to join immediately.
