Job Overview

A leading organization is hiring an experienced Network Security Engineer for an onsite position in Dubai, UAE. The role will focus on operating and supporting software-defined networking and security components within a Nutanix private-cloud environment.

The Network Security Engineer will manage cloud networking, virtual networks, routing, micro-segmentation, distributed security policies, and internal load balancing. The position also requires coordination with FTA and its managed service provider for Cisco ACI, perimeter firewalls, external load balancers, upstream connectivity, incident resolution, and approved network changes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Nutanix cloud networking for the proposed infrastructure.
• Configure and support network segments, virtual networks, routing, and connectivity within the SDDC.
• Administer micro-segmentation and distributed security policies.
• Support internal load-balancing configurations within the private-cloud environment.
• Monitor network and security health, availability, utilization, latency, and alerts.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues affecting virtual machines, clusters, Kubernetes workloads, storage, backup, and databases.
• Review network logs and alerts and coordinate incident resolution.
• Maintain network diagrams, configuration documents, rule bases, and operating procedures.
• Support endpoint groups, VLANs, bridge domains, contracts, and connectivity requirements with the Cisco ACI team.
• Coordinate approved changes on Cisco ACI spine/leaf infrastructure.
• Coordinate perimeter-firewall, external load-balancer, and upstream-network changes with FTA and the existing MSP.
• Review micro-segmentation rules and security policies for compliance and least-privilege access.
• Participate in network and security patching, hardening, and vulnerability-remediation activities.
• Verify configuration backups and network-device health.
• Assist with network-capacity planning, traffic analysis, and performance optimization.
• Support DR connectivity, failover testing, and recovery exercises.
• Participate in major-incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and vendor escalation.
• Prepare network availability, performance, capacity, incident, and security-compliance reports.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 7–9 years of professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, and load balancing.
• Experience with Nutanix Flow, virtual networking, and micro-segmentation.
• Working knowledge of Cisco ACI concepts, including APIC, EPGs, bridge domains, contracts, and spine/leaf architecture.
• Understanding of firewall policies, network-security controls, and traffic flow.
• Experience troubleshooting hybrid physical and virtual network environments.
• Knowledge of security hardening, access control, change management, and incident management.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to work onsite with on-call support.

Preferred Qualifications

• CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Data Center, CCNP Security, or equivalent certification.
• Nutanix networking or security certification.
• Firewall-vendor certification.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
