A leading organization is hiring a Linux and Windows Administrator / Infrastructure Team Lead for an onsite position in Dubai, UAE. The role is responsible for managing operating-system and virtualization environments while ensuring the reliability, performance, security, and availability of hosted workloads.

The position combines senior infrastructure administration with technical leadership responsibilities. The successful candidate will manage RHEL and Windows Server environments, Nutanix virtualization, server provisioning, patching, security hardening, performance monitoring, incident resolution, disaster recovery, and infrastructure lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer RHEL 9.6 and Windows Server environments.
• Perform server provisioning, configuration, hardening, maintenance, and decommissioning.
• Manage operating-system patching according to approved FTA schedules and change procedures.
• Coordinate emergency patching for critical vulnerabilities.
• Monitor CPU, memory, disk, services, logs, and operating-system performance.
• Investigate and resolve OS-level incidents, alerts, and performance issues.
• Conduct daily health checks and maintain operational checklists.
• Support virtual-machine provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Administer the Nutanix virtualization environment up to the operating-system layer.
• Support application-hosting teams with infrastructure and operating-system issues.
• Maintain system configurations, build documents, patch records, and operational runbooks.
• Perform capacity analysis and recommend infrastructure improvements.
• Lead complex incident resolution and coordinate L3 and vendor escalations.
• Perform root-cause analysis for major or recurring infrastructure incidents.
• Ensure compliance with security-hardening standards, including CIS controls where applicable.
• Lead and mentor infrastructure engineers.
• Support shift-left knowledge transfer.
• Coordinate with backup, database, network, security, application, and vendor teams.
• Support disaster-recovery exercises, failover activities, restore testing, and operational-readiness reviews.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience for the Team Lead position.
• Relevant senior administration experience for supporting engineers.
• Advanced administration experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows Server.
• Strong troubleshooting knowledge covering operating systems, compute, storage, networking, and virtualization.
• Experience with Nutanix HCI, AHV, Prism, cluster administration, and VM lifecycle management.
• Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Windows security.
• Experience with Shell scripting, PowerShell, or infrastructure automation.
• Knowledge of ITIL incident, problem, and change-management processes.
• Strong team leadership and technical-escalation skills.
• Ability to work onsite with on-call support.

Preferred Qualifications

• RHCE, RHCSA, Microsoft, or equivalent certification.
• Nutanix Certified Professional or Nutanix Certified Master certification.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise or government environments.
