Onyx Scientific & Laboratory Supplies, a provider of laboratory instruments, scientific solutions, and laboratory consumables, is seeking a motivated LIMS Technical Developer / LIMS Integration Engineer to join its team in Amman, Jordan. The role focuses on technical development, customization, integration, reporting, and support of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) solutions.

The successful candidate will combine software development expertise with knowledge of LIMS, databases, enterprise integrations, reporting platforms, and system architecture. The position involves working with Java, JavaScript, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, SOAP, ERP/SAP systems, laboratory instruments, and third-party platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain LIMS solutions according to technical and business requirements.
• Provide technical support for LIMS integrations and enterprise system connectivity.
• Work with Java and JavaScript for application development and customization.
• Design and support integrations using RESTful Web Services, APIs, JSON, XML, and SOAP.
• Integrate LIMS with ERP/SAP systems, laboratory instruments, and third-party applications.
• Develop and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, and database views.
• Work with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases.
• Design, configure, and troubleshoot reports using JasperReports or Crystal Reports.
• Support report formatting, parameters, data retrieval, and reporting functionality.
• Troubleshoot application, database, middleware, integration, and system performance issues.
• Work with application servers, database servers, middleware, authentication, security, and deployment processes.
• Conduct technical testing and support system validation activities.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
• Follow appropriate change-control procedures for system modifications.
• Collaborate with IT teams, laboratory users, and functional consultants.
• Support the delivery of scalable, reliable, and integrated LIMS solutions.
• Visit customer sites and provide technical support within Jordan as required.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Hands-on LIMS experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with other LIMS platforms is an advantage.
• Strong experience in Java programming and JavaScript.
• Strong database development and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with enterprise system architecture and integrations.
• Good knowledge of RESTful Web Services, APIs, JSON, XML, and SOAP.
• Experience integrating systems with ERP/SAP, laboratory instruments, and third-party applications.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
• Strong knowledge of SQL queries, stored procedures, and database views.
• Experience with JasperReports or Crystal Reports is preferred.
• Understanding of application servers, database servers, middleware, authentication, security, deployment, and system performance.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good time-management and organizational skills.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Valid driving license and own car.
• Willingness to travel within Jordan and visit customer sites.
