Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Instrument & Controls Engineer – Cyber Coordination to support a large-scale industrial project in Duba, Tabuk Region, Saudi Arabia. The position is focused on the secure implementation, verification, and compliance of industrial control systems and cybersecurity requirements across construction, commissioning, startup, and handover phases.
The successful candidate will work as part of the site cybersecurity task force and serve as a technical interface between project execution teams, commissioning teams, client operations, subcontractors, vendors, and OEM representatives. The role requires strong expertise in PAS, BPCS, PLC, DCS, vendor control systems, and Industrial Control System (ICS)/Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a member of the site cybersecurity task force and support field verification of cyber assets.
- Act as the technical interface between project execution, commissioning, client operations, and system/package vendors.
- Provide engineering support for PAS, BPCS, PLC, DCS, and vendor-supplied control systems.
- Support construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and handover activities.
- Coordinate cybersecurity validation and testing with vendors, subcontractors, and OEM representatives.
- Participate in FAT, SAT, loop checks, functional testing, and commissioning activities.
- Review vendor documentation, test procedures, and cybersecurity compliance evidence.
- Prepare and close out Proof of Compliance documentation.
- Assist with troubleshooting instrumentation, control systems, networks, and system interfaces.
- Ensure cybersecurity controls are implemented without negatively affecting critical project schedules.
- Promote compliance with project safety, quality, and cybersecurity requirements.
- Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary project stakeholders throughout execution and handover.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Control Systems, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in instrumentation and control systems.
- Industrial-sector experience in one or more of the following:
- Oil & Gas
- Energy
- Petrochemicals
- Chemicals
- Industrial Gases
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- PAS
- BPCS
- PLCs
- DCS
- Vendor Control Systems
- Experience supporting construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and handover activities.
- Experience with Industrial Control System (ICS) and Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity activities.
- ISA/IEC 62443 certification is preferred.
- SANS or other recognized OT/ICS cybersecurity certifications are advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong coordination, troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving capabilities.
