Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in Fortinet security solutions and FireMon, with responsibility for securing enterprise mail gateways, sandbox environments, web applications, APIs, and firewall policies.

The successful candidate will manage Fortinet Mail Gateway, FortiSandbox, and Fortinet WAF environments while conducting firewall policy reviews through FireMon across multi-vendor environments. The position requires strong technical troubleshooting capabilities, security policy management expertise, and an understanding of security and regulatory compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Mail Gateway – Fortinet

• Monitor mail flow, service health, performance, and availability.
• Manage anti-spam, anti-malware, and phishing protection policies.
• Troubleshoot mail delivery issues, queues, connectivity problems, and false positives or negatives.
• Execute upgrades, firmware updates, and hotfixes.
• Ensure configurations comply with applicable security and regulatory requirements.

Sandbox – Fortinet

• Configure FortiSandbox security policies, malware analysis profiles, Indicators of Compromise (IOCs), quarantine settings, and notifications.
• Manage file submission policies and supported file types.
• Integrate FortiSandbox with the Fortinet Mail Gateway.
• Perform firmware upgrades, hotfixes, and signature updates.
• Maintain security and regulatory compliance.

WAF – Fortinet

• Configure WAF policies, virtual servers, protected applications, and security profiles.
• Manage SSL/TLS inspection and certificate configurations.
• Onboard web applications and APIs into Fortinet WAF environments.
• Validate application functionality following policy implementation.
• Monitor WAF logs, alerts, and security events.
• Troubleshoot application security and WAF policy-related issues.

Firewall Policy Review – FireMon

• Conduct periodic firewall policy reviews across multi-vendor environments.
• Identify overly permissive, Any-to-Any, shadowed, duplicate, redundant, and unused firewall rules.
• Configure policy analysis, compliance policies, risk scoring, and rule recertification.
• Maintain FireMon integrations with supported firewall vendors.
• Prepare operational, compliance, and executive reports covering firewall security posture.
• Support continuous improvement of firewall governance and security controls.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of relevant cybersecurity or information security experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet security solutions.
• Experience with Fortinet Mail Gateway.
• Experience with FortiSandbox.
• Experience with Fortinet WAF.
• Strong understanding of firewall policy management and security governance.
• Hands-on experience with FireMon for firewall policy analysis and review.
• Experience identifying redundant, duplicate, shadowed, unused, and overly permissive firewall rules.
• Knowledge of SSL/TLS inspection and certificate configuration.
• Experience securing web applications and APIs through WAF solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting, technical documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
• Fluent Arabic speaker is mandatory.
• Candidates currently based in Saudi Arabia are preferred.
• Local Saudi candidates are preferred.
