A leading company is seeking an experienced Cost Control & Estimation Engineer to join its growing team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Candidates with experience in mechanical maintenance, piping, structural steel, industrial painting, protective coatings, insulation, and shutdown or turnaround projects will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed project cost estimates and budgets.
  • Perform project cost control and financial monitoring.
  • Conduct forecasting and variance analysis throughout project execution.
  • Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and quantity take-offs.
  • Develop technical and commercial proposals for tenders.
  • Evaluate tenders and prepare competitive bid pricing.
  • Review supplier and subcontractor quotations for cost efficiency.
  • Prepare periodic cost reports and profitability analyses.
  • Monitor project costs and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support commercial negotiations and contract documentation.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams.
  • Ensure accurate documentation for estimates and project cost records.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in industrial contracting or EPC projects.
  • Strong experience in cost control, estimation, and tendering.
  • Experience in one or more of the following disciplines:
    • Mechanical Maintenance
    • Structural Steel
    • Piping
    • Industrial Painting
    • Abrasive Blasting
    • Protective Coating
    • Industrial Insulation
    • Shutdown & Turnaround Projects
  • GCC project experience is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Primavera P6, MS Project, or ERP systems is an advantage.
