Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled BI Engineer to support Business Intelligence, data engineering, analytics, and enterprise reporting initiatives in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have 3–6 years of hands-on experience in Business Intelligence, BI Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field, with strong expertise in SQL, relational databases, data modelling, and visualization platforms.

The successful candidate will work with enterprise data sources to develop dashboards, reports, KPIs, analytical datasets, and data integration solutions. Strong knowledge of Power BI and/or Tableau, ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, Star and Snowflake schemas, and data quality is required. Exposure to cloud platforms and modern data technologies will be highly valuable.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Business Intelligence and data engineering solutions.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for relational databases.
• Design and maintain data models using Star and Snowflake schemas.
• Develop dashboards, reports, KPIs, and analytical datasets.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
• Support enterprise data warehousing initiatives.
• Integrate data from multiple enterprise sources.
• Perform data validation and quality checks.
• Identify and resolve data quality and consistency issues.
• Develop analytical solutions using Power BI and/or Tableau.
• Utilize Power Query and DAX for Power BI-focused solutions.
• Work with cloud-based data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Support data engineering solutions using technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Snowflake.
• Apply data integration and data management best practices.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements.
• Work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
• Support data governance, security, and enterprise data management initiatives.
• Use Python for data processing and automation where applicable.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–6 years of hands-on experience in Business Intelligence, BI Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI and/or Tableau.
• Good understanding of ETL/ELT and Data Warehousing.
• Experience with data modelling, including Star and Snowflake schemas.
• Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar databases.
• Experience developing dashboards, reports, KPIs, and analytical datasets.
• Strong understanding of data quality, data validation, and data integration.
• Exposure to Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud data platforms.
• Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar technologies is preferred.
• Power Query and DAX experience is preferred for Power BI-focused roles.
• Basic Python knowledge for data processing or automation is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience working in an enterprise environment with multiple data sources and business stakeholders.
