Job Overview

The AI Data Center Infrastructure – Project Technical Head is a senior technical leadership position responsible for supporting the delivery of large-scale AI data center and critical infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia. The role provides overall technical leadership across Electrical, Mechanical, MEP, and Digital engineering disciplines, ensuring seamless integration from design and development through testing, commissioning, and project handover.

The successful candidate will serve as a key technical point of contact for clients, project stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams. The position requires strong expertise in critical data center infrastructure, including MV/LV electrical systems, UPS, transformers, cooling systems, EPMS/BMS, monitoring, and control infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall technical scope of AI data center infrastructure projects.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.
• Coordinate Electrical, Mechanical, MEP, and Digital engineering teams.
• Lead technical design and solution development from concept through implementation and commissioning.
• Review the integration of critical data center systems, including power, cooling, UPS, electrical distribution, monitoring, and control systems.
• Manage technical risks, design changes, deviations, and engineering issues.
• Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, contractors, and internal project teams.
• Ensure technical compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and client requirements.
• Support technical presentations, discussions, reviews, and negotiations with clients.
• Drive standardization and scalability of technical solutions across the project program.
• Provide technical leadership and support during testing, commissioning, and project handover.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, MEP Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in data centers, critical infrastructure, or comparable large-scale projects.
• Extensive knowledge of data center infrastructure and technical project leadership.
• Strong understanding of MV/LV electrical systems, UPS, transformers, cooling systems, EPMS/BMS, and associated infrastructure.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong client-facing, communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience delivering large-scale or hyperscale data center projects is highly preferred.
• GCC or Saudi Arabia project experience is an advantage.
• Relevant professional certifications or specialist data center certifications are advantageous.
