Job Overview

Al Faisal Al Thahabi Company is seeking qualified Accountants to support its Oil & Gas projects in Basra, Iraq. Key Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities for Oil & Gas project operations.
• Maintain accurate financial records, transactions, and supporting documentation.
• Apply accounting principles and established financial procedures.
• Prepare and maintain accounting reports and financial documentation.
• Use Microsoft Excel for financial analysis, reporting, reconciliation, and data management.
• Support project-related financial tracking and reporting.
• Work with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle where applicable.
• Review financial information for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with internal teams to obtain required financial documentation and information.
• Support month-end and project-related accounting activities.
• Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with company policies and applicable requirements.
• Meet project deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Assist with audits and financial documentation when required.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and project stakeholders.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Previous experience in Oil & Gas projects is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is preferred.
• Good command of English, including speaking, writing, and reading.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• High attention to detail and financial accuracy.
• Relevant accounting certifications or professional qualifications are advantageous.
• Candidates must currently be based in Basra, Iraq.
