Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Application Specialist to support a government project in Dubai, UAE. The position is suited to IT professionals with 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise application platforms across on-premises and cloud environments, with strong expertise in Linux, OpenShift, Kubernetes, container technologies, application deployments, and production support.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining application platforms, troubleshooting production issues, monitoring system performance, supporting deployments, and contributing to reliability and operational excellence. The role requires practical experience with Java, .NET, CI/CD, DevOps tools, databases, cloud environments, and enterprise production operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Support enterprise application platforms across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux environments, including RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu.
- Support OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized application environments.
- Support Java and .NET enterprise application deployments.
- Manage and support CI/CD and DevOps tools, including Jenkins, GitLab, and ArgoCD.
- Monitor application and infrastructure performance in production environments.
- Troubleshoot production incidents and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Conduct performance monitoring and tuning activities.
- Support database environments including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
- Perform system patching and security hardening activities.
- Support backup, Disaster Recovery (DR), and High Availability (HA) requirements.
- Develop and maintain Shell or Python scripts for operational automation.
- Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.
- Support application reliability, availability, and operational performance.
- Assist with production changes, upgrades, deployments, and technical improvements.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise application platforms.
- Experience working across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Linux
- RHEL
- CentOS
- Ubuntu
- OpenShift
- Kubernetes
- Docker
- Container technologies
- Experience supporting Java and .NET applications and enterprise deployments.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools, including:
- Jenkins
- GitLab
- ArgoCD
- Strong exposure to:
- SQL Server
- PostgreSQL
- MySQL
- MongoDB
- Experience in production troubleshooting, monitoring, performance tuning, and RCA.
- Knowledge of system patching and security hardening.
- Understanding of backup, Disaster Recovery, and High Availability environments.
- Scripting knowledge in Shell and/or Python.
- Strong technical documentation skills.
- Excellent stakeholder and vendor coordination capabilities.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Candidates must be available to join within 30 days or less.
- Ability to work onsite in Dubai, UAE.
