Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Network Security L2 Support Engineer to join a technical team in Abu Dhabi. The role is suited to professionals with 7–10 years of experience in enterprise networking and network security, with strong expertise in Cisco routing and switching, LAN/WAN/WLAN environments, enterprise firewalls, VPN technologies, and network troubleshooting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for independently handling L2 network incidents, configurations, troubleshooting, approved changes, root cause analysis, vendor and ISP coordination, upgrades, and migration activities. Key Responsibilities

• Independently handle L2 network and security incidents.
• Perform network configuration and troubleshooting across enterprise environments.
• Troubleshoot Cisco routing and switching infrastructure.
• Manage and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, WLAN, VLAN, STP, OSPF, and BGP environments.
• Support and troubleshoot enterprise firewalls, preferably FortiGate.
• Manage NAT, ACLs, IPsec, and remote access VPN technologies.
• Troubleshoot WAN and ISP-related connectivity issues.
• Use network monitoring and troubleshooting tools to identify and resolve issues.
• Participate in Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
• Perform approved network changes and configurations.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring or complex network incidents.
• Coordinate with vendors and ISPs for technical issue resolution.
• Support network upgrades and migration activities.
• Maintain effective communication with internal teams and external technical stakeholders.
• Follow established ITSM and operational procedures.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 7–10 years of professional experience in network support, network security, or related infrastructure roles.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco Routing and Switching.
• Hands-on understanding of LAN/WAN/WLAN technologies.
• Strong knowledge of VLAN, STP, OSPF, and BGP.
• Experience with enterprise firewall technologies, preferably FortiGate.
• Knowledge of NAT, ACLs, IPsec, and Remote Access VPN.
• Experience troubleshooting WAN and ISP connectivity.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Understanding of Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
• ServiceNow or ITSM exposure is preferred.
• CCNA certification is preferred.
• CCNP and Fortinet certifications are advantageous.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently manage L2 network incidents and technical issues.
• Must be available for a face-to-face interview in the UAE.
