Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain security detection use cases across enterprise environments.
• Create and optimize correlation rules for effective threat detection.
• Develop and manage detection logic using Splunk ES/SPL or FortiSIEM.
• Map detection use cases to the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Perform alert tuning to improve detection accuracy.
• Identify and reduce false positives while maintaining effective threat coverage.
• Analyze security alerts and detection performance.
• Collaborate with Security Operations and cybersecurity teams to improve detection capabilities.
• Review existing detection rules and identify opportunities for optimization.
• Support the development of scalable and effective security monitoring processes.
• Document detection logic, use cases, tuning activities, and technical procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of enterprise security detection and monitoring capabilities.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience.
• Strong experience in Detection Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise Security (Splunk ES/SPL) or FortiSIEM.
• Strong knowledge of security detection use cases and correlation rules.
• Experience applying the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Practical experience with alert tuning and false-positive reduction.
• Strong understanding of SIEM, security monitoring, and threat detection concepts.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications and specialized detection engineering training are advantageous.
