Job Overview

Anotech is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer – Data Center to support the delivery of large-scale data center and mission-critical infrastructure projects across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The role is suited to mechanical engineering professionals with strong expertise in critical cooling infrastructure and complex data center environments.

The successful candidate will contribute to the technical delivery and leadership of mechanical systems, including HVAC, chilled water, cooling, ventilation, CRAC/CRAH, liquid cooling, free cooling, and containment systems. The position also requires expertise in thermal modelling, load calculations, airflow analysis, and multidisciplinary project coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering activities for data center and mission-critical infrastructure projects.
• Develop and review HVAC, chilled water, cooling, and ventilation system designs.
• Coordinate the design and integration of CRAC/CRAH, liquid cooling, free cooling, and containment systems.
• Perform and review thermal modelling, cooling load calculations, and airflow analysis.
• Provide technical leadership throughout design, engineering, construction, testing, and commissioning phases.
• Coordinate mechanical systems with electrical, structural, architectural, and other engineering disciplines.
• Review technical documentation, drawings, specifications, calculations, and engineering deliverables.
• Support project management and technical decision-making across assigned projects.
• Identify and resolve mechanical engineering and project delivery issues.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Ensure mechanical solutions meet project specifications, performance requirements, quality standards, and applicable codes.
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover of data center mechanical systems.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7–20 years of experience in mechanical engineering and/or data center projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, cooling, and ventilation systems.
• Experience with CRAC/CRAH, liquid cooling, free cooling, and containment systems.
• Strong technical leadership and project management experience.
• Experience with thermal modelling, cooling load calculations, and airflow analysis.
• Data center or mission-critical infrastructure experience is preferred.
• Strong multidisciplinary coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent technical communication, problem-solving, and project delivery capabilities.
