Job Overview

An experienced Planner / Scheduler is required to support a high-profile EPC project in Qatar involving the delivery of large-scale petrochemical facilities. The role will contribute to project planning and schedule management across the complete project lifecycle, including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up.

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and challenging EPC contractor schedules, monitoring project progress, supporting forecasting activities, and developing effective schedule recovery and mitigation strategies. Strong expertise in Primavera P6, Acumen Fuse, Critical Path Method (CPM), Earned Value Management (EVM), progress measurement, and time-impact analysis is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and analyze integrated EPC project schedules.
• Utilize Primavera P6 for project planning and schedule management.
• Apply Acumen Fuse and schedule risk analysis techniques.
• Monitor critical paths, project milestones, dependencies, and schedule performance.
• Analyze EPC contractor schedules and challenge schedule logic, progress, and forecasting.
• Perform progress measurement and schedule performance analysis.
• Apply CPM and EVM principles to project controls activities.
• Develop schedule recovery and mitigation plans.
• Conduct time-impact analysis for delays and schedule changes.
• Support forecasting and reporting of project schedule performance.
• Coordinate planning activities across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up phases.
• Work closely with project teams, contractors, and key stakeholders.
• Communicate schedule risks, opportunities, and recommendations to project management.
• Support effective stakeholder management throughout project execution.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Relevant degree or professional qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Planner / Scheduler on major EPC projects.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Primavera P6.
• Experience with Acumen Fuse and Schedule Risk Analysis.
• Strong knowledge of CPM, EVM, progress measurement, and forecasting.
• Proven ability to analyze and challenge EPC contractor schedules.
• Experience with schedule recovery, mitigation, and time-impact analysis.
• Previous experience in Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, or LNG projects.
• Exposure to construction, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Middle East project experience is highly desirable.
