Job Overview

We are seeking highly experienced Structural Engineers specializing in Steel to join a project team supporting a major metro infrastructure project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role is focused on complex structural steel works and requires professionals with proven experience across large-scale infrastructure, transportation, railway, metro, commercial, industrial, or similarly complex projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for structural steel design, analysis, detailing, coordination, and technical documentation. The role involves working with steel frames, portal frames, roof structures, platforms, stairs, escalator and lift support structures, steel connections, and structural interfaces with reinforced concrete systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural steel design and analysis for complex infrastructure and building structures.
• Develop and review structural steel detailing and technical documentation.
• Work on steel frames, portal frames, roof structures, platforms, stairs, and escalator and lift support structures.
• Design and coordinate steel connections and structural interfaces with reinforced concrete structures.
• Review structural drawings, calculations, shop drawings, and other technical deliverables.
• Coordinate structural steel works with Architectural, MEP, Civil, and other project disciplines.
• Support complex construction sequencing and structural coordination activities.
• Identify and resolve structural design and coordination issues.
• Ensure structural solutions comply with relevant design codes, project specifications, and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams to deliver high-quality structural steel solutions on major infrastructure works.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Strong professional experience in Structural Steel Design and Detailing.
• Proven experience working on mega-scale and complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel systems, connections, detailing, and relevant design codes.
• Experience with major metro, railway, transportation, infrastructure, commercial, or industrial projects is highly preferred.
• Experience with complex steel structures, including frames, platforms, roof structures, stairs, and support structures.
• Experience coordinating structural steel with reinforced concrete, Architectural, MEP, Civil, and other disciplines.
• Strong multidisciplinary coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to review and prepare structural drawings, calculations, shop drawings, and technical documentation.
• Experience beyond small-scale projects, PEB structures, or reinforced-concrete-only design is required.

Important Candidate Criteria: Candidates whose experience is primarily limited to PEB structures, small-scale structures, or RC-only projects will not be considered.
