Job Overview

A reputable engineering consultancy office is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Design Engineer to join its technical office and provide back-office engineering support for major power plant projects in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The position is based in Nasr City, Cairo, and is focused exclusively on structural design engineering.

The role is suited to Civil Engineers with a structural design specialization and at least 8 years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will contribute to structural analysis and design, engineering calculations, technical documentation, and multidisciplinary coordination for complex industrial and power plant projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for complex engineering projects.
• Develop and review structural calculations and engineering documentation.
• Prepare and review structural drawings and technical documents.
• Use structural engineering software to analyze and design structural systems.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, electrical, and other engineering disciplines.
• Ensure structural designs are properly integrated with multidisciplinary project requirements.
• Review designs for compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and engineering standards.
• Support technical reviews and resolve structural design-related issues.
• Contribute to the delivery of engineering packages for major power plant projects.
• Maintain technical quality and accuracy throughout the design process.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in Structural Design Engineering.
• Strong experience in structural analysis and design.
• Proficiency in:
  • ETABS
  • SAFE
  • SAP2000
  • AutoCAD
  • CSI Column
• Previous experience in Power Plant or Industrial Projects is highly preferred.
• Experience within an engineering consultancy firm is a strong advantage.
• Strong understanding of structural engineering codes, standards, and design principles.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong technical documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Civil Engineers only, with a structural design focus.
