Job Overview

An urgent opportunity is available for a DevSecOps Engineer in Abu Dhabi, UAE, for an experienced professional specializing in the integration of security practices into DevOps and software delivery environments. The position is onsite and offers a 12-month engagement beginning 15 September 2026.

The successful candidate will be responsible for embedding security throughout CI/CD pipelines, automating application security testing, improving cloud security posture, and implementing security best practices across containers, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code. The role requires close collaboration with DevOps teams to identify vulnerabilities, strengthen infrastructure security, and address compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Embed security practices into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.
• Perform secure code reviews and identify application security risks.
• Automate security testing using SAST, DAST, and Software Composition Analysis (SCA).
• Manage and improve cloud security posture across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
• Implement container security best practices using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor systems for vulnerabilities, threats, security risks, and compliance issues.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement secure Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Integrate security tools into software development and delivery workflows.
• Identify and support remediation of security vulnerabilities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of DevSecOps processes and security controls.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience preferred for the advertised DevSecOps position.
• Professional experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, or related security engineering roles.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Experience with containers and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with SAST tools such as SonarQube and Checkmarx.
• Experience with DAST tools such as OWASP ZAP and Burp Suite.
• Knowledge of dependency scanning and software composition analysis tools.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
• Strong understanding of cloud, application, infrastructure, and DevOps security principles.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
