Job Overview

GSS Tech Group is seeking an experienced Senior SharePoint Developer – Full Stack to join its technology team in Dubai. The position is designed for a highly skilled SharePoint engineer with strong hands-on experience in SharePoint development and design, enterprise application development, integration, administration, and technical solution delivery.

The successful candidate will work across the full application lifecycle, including requirements analysis, technical design, development, testing, deployment, administration, troubleshooting, and production support. Strong expertise in SharePoint, C#, SQL, CSOM, JSOM, REST APIs, PowerShell, and IIS is required, while experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, React.js, and Node.js provides an additional advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, customize, and maintain enterprise SharePoint solutions and applications.
• Lead SharePoint development activities throughout the application lifecycle.
• Translate business and technical requirements into effective SharePoint solutions.
• Develop solutions using SharePoint, C#, SQL, CSOM, JSOM, and REST APIs.
• Design and develop SharePoint applications, workflows, custom components, integrations, and enterprise solutions.
• Configure and administer SharePoint services and related application components.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for SharePoint administration, automation, deployment, and operational activities.
• Work with IIS, web hosting environments, web application pools, application and service accounts, and account permissions.
• Collaborate with architecture, business, infrastructure, security, QA, and engineering teams.
• Ensure application architecture meets enterprise security, scalability, performance, and engineering standards.
• Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, technology evaluations, and architecture decisions.
• Research and benchmark technologies against industry and best-in-class solutions.
• Recommend improvements to engineering practices, application architecture, and technology platforms.
• Follow coding standards, secure development practices, unit testing, documentation, and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, integration, hosting, and production issues.
• Participate in Agile delivery teams, ceremonies, and development activities.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance to development teams.
• Influence multiple teams through technical expertise and contribute to engineering productivity.
• Take ownership of assigned initiatives and drive delivery independently.
• Communicate technical concepts, architecture decisions, risks, and recommendations to senior and executive stakeholders.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of relevant professional experience is required. Profiles with less experience will not be considered.
• Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Equivalent relevant industry experience may also be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on SharePoint development and design experience.
• Strong experience in SharePoint development and enterprise application development.
• Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture.
• Hands-on experience with SharePoint REST APIs.
• Strong development experience with:
  • C#
  • SQL
  • CSOM (Client-Side Object Model)
  • JSOM (JavaScript Object Model)
• Good knowledge of SharePoint administration and service configuration.
• Strong PowerShell scripting experience, particularly for SharePoint administration and automation.
• Strong understanding of IIS, web hosting, web application pools, application/service accounts, and account permissions.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and API-based application architecture.
• Experience integrating SharePoint applications with internal and external enterprise systems.
• Good experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript is preferred.
• Experience with React.js is an advantage.
• Experience with Node.js is an advantage.
• Experience working in banking, financial services, fintech, or other large enterprise environments is preferred.
• Understanding of enterprise security, application architecture, and technology governance.
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle and enterprise engineering practices.
• Experience with coding standards, secure coding practices, unit testing, documentation, and application quality standards.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and technical communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and presentation abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across architecture, engineering, infrastructure, security, QA, and business teams.
• SharePoint Developer certification is preferred.
