Job Overview

Flintex Consulting is seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer to join a large global retail client in Singapore. This opportunity is designed for an early-career DevOps professional with practical knowledge of Linux environments, infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and modern software development practices.

The successful candidate will work with physical and virtualized Linux environments, Bash scripting, Infrastructure as Code tools, and corporate CI/CD solutions. The role also provides exposure to GitOps, Agile Software Development, and Twelve-Factor methodology within an enterprise technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support DevOps activities across physical and virtualized Linux environments.
• Work with Linux systems and perform basic Bash scripting and automation tasks.
• Assist with Infrastructure as Code implementation using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure ARM, OpenTofu, or equivalent technologies.
• Support corporate CI/CD solutions and software delivery pipelines.
• Work with platforms such as GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLab, CircleCI, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools.
• Contribute to automation and continuous integration and deployment processes.
• Support GitOps-based development and deployment practices.
• Work within Agile Software Development environments.
• Apply Twelve-Factor methodology principles where relevant.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and technical teams to support reliable software delivery.
• Assist with maintaining efficient and scalable DevOps processes.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in DevOps or a related technical role.
• Foundational knowledge of Linux in physical and virtualized environments.
• Basic proficiency in Bash scripting.
• Familiarity with at least one Infrastructure as Code tool, such as:
  • Terraform
  • CloudFormation
  • Azure ARM
  • OpenTofu
  • Equivalent Infrastructure as Code technologies
• Familiarity with at least one corporate-oriented CI/CD solution, such as:
  • GitHub
  • Bitbucket
  • GitLab
  • CircleCI
  • Azure DevOps
  • Equivalent CI/CD platforms
• Familiarity with Agile Software Development.
• Knowledge of GitOps practices.
• Understanding of Twelve-Factor methodology.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an enterprise technology environment.

Salary, Benefits & Career Growth

Salary: SGD 5,000 – SGD 6,000 per month
