Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Senior Magento Developers to join an onsite technology team in Dubai. The role focuses on designing, developing, customizing, and maintaining Magento-based e-commerce applications, with a strong emphasis on Magento 2, PHP development, integrations, performance optimization, and application security.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing scalable e-commerce solutions, extending Magento modules and themes, integrating third-party APIs and services, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with UI/UX, QA, and development teams. The position also includes code reviews, technical documentation, mentoring junior developers, and contributing to solution design.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement Magento-based e-commerce applications.
• Develop and maintain Magento 2 solutions according to business requirements.
• Customize and extend Magento modules, themes, and platform functionality.
• Integrate third-party APIs and external services with Magento applications.
• Develop and maintain REST and SOAP API integrations.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across Magento applications.
• Analyze requirements and contribute to technical solution design.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, QA engineers, developers, and business stakeholders.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce coding and development best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and support technical knowledge sharing.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
• Work with version control systems such as Git.
• Support application deployment and cloud-based environments where required.
• Monitor emerging Magento, PHP, e-commerce, and web development technologies.
• Recommend technical improvements to enhance application performance and maintainability.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of overall professional experience, with strong hands-on Magento development experience.
• Minimum 5 years of Magento development experience; Magento 2 experience is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in PHP.
• Strong experience with MySQL.
• Experience with GraphQL.
• Strong understanding of Magento architecture, modules, themes, and customization.
• Experience with REST and SOAP APIs.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and external services.
• Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
• Experience with e-commerce application performance optimization.
• Strong understanding of web application security best practices.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms is advantageous.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Relevant Magento, PHP, cloud, or cybersecurity certifications are advantageous.
