Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Senior Java Backend Developers to join an onsite technology team in Dubai. The role is focused on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, enterprise integrations, and cloud technologies.

The successful candidate will work on enterprise systems with exposure to payment gateways and telecom domain environments. The position requires strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot microservices, RESTful and SOAP web services, Oracle databases, secure configuration, automated testing, API documentation, and cloud deployment environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Spring Boot microservices.
• Apply microservices architecture principles and enterprise integration patterns.
• Build and consume RESTful web services using Spring Web and OpenFeign.
• Develop and integrate SOAP web services using Spring Web Services and WSDL.
• Integrate enterprise applications with Oracle databases using Spring Data JPA and Spring JDBC.
• Implement secure application configuration and secret management using Azure Key Vault.
• Create and maintain API documentation using Swagger and SpringDoc OpenAPI.
• Implement application logging, tracing, health checks, and monitoring using Spring Actuator.
• Develop unit and integration tests using JUnit, Spring Boot Test, and WireMock.
• Contribute to system design and architectural decisions.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain development standards.
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Support smooth end-to-end application deployment on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or similar cloud platforms.
• Troubleshoot application issues and contribute to performance, reliability, and scalability improvements.
• Maintain clean, secure, scalable, and maintainable backend code.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8 or later.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and Spring-based backend development.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and integration patterns.
• Experience with Spring Data JPA and Spring JDBC.
• Experience with Spring Web, Spring Web Services, Spring Cloud OpenFeign, and Spring AOP.
• Strong experience developing RESTful APIs.
• Experience with SOAP/WSDL and wsimport.
• Strong experience working with Oracle databases.
• Experience with Azure Key Vault and secure application configuration.
• Basic understanding of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or comparable cloud deployment platforms.
• Experience with JUnit, WireMock, and Spring Boot Test.
• Strong Maven experience.
• Experience creating API documentation using Swagger or SpringDoc OpenAPI.
• Exposure to payment gateways and telecom domain systems is preferred.
• Strong understanding of logging, tracing, monitoring, and application observability.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Analytical mindset with a structured problem-solving approach.
• Relevant Java, Spring, Azure, Kubernetes, or cloud certifications are advantageous.
