Job Overview
NTG Clarity is seeking an experienced Android Team Lead to join its team and work onsite on a project for a leading digital bank in Egypt. The position combines advanced Android engineering expertise with technical leadership, team management, architecture, code quality, and production application delivery.
The successful candidate will lead Android development activities while working closely with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, and cross-functional teams. The role requires experience managing Android developers, making technical decisions, maintaining coding standards, and delivering scalable applications used by large customer bases.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Android developers.
- Manage and support teams of approximately 4–10 developers.
- Own code review processes and maintain high engineering standards.
- Make technical decisions related to Android application development and architecture.
- Define and enforce coding standards and development best practices.
- Support conflict resolution and effective team collaboration.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners and Engineering Managers.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver production applications.
- Design and support large-scale modular Android applications.
- Implement feature modularization strategies.
- Develop and maintain offline-first application architectures.
- Implement static analysis and code quality practices.
- Work with SonarQube and Android Lint to maintain application quality.
- Support the delivery and continuous improvement of production mobile applications.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional Android development experience.
- 2–4+ years of experience leading Android development teams.
- Experience managing teams of 4–10 developers.
- Proven experience delivering multiple production Android applications.
- Strong experience working with Product Owners and Engineering Managers.
- Experience with large-scale modular applications.
- Strong understanding of feature modularization.
- Experience with offline-first architecture.
- Ability to define and maintain coding standards.
- Experience with static analysis tools.
- Knowledge of SonarQube and Android Lint.
- Strong technical decision-making, mentoring, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
Preferred Industry Experience
Experience in one or more of the following industries is advantageous:
- Banking
- FinTech
- Payment Systems
- Digital Wallets
- Healthcare
- Telecommunications
- E-commerce
- High-traffic consumer applications
Experience working on applications with 100,000+ downloads or large active user bases is highly preferred.
