Job Overview

Elegancia Arabia is seeking an experienced Lead Cost Control Engineer to join its team in Saudi Arabia. This position is suited to an engineering professional with a strong background in construction cost control and proven experience supporting finishing and interior fit-out projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project budgets, forecasting, Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR), cost reporting, variations, and detailed cost analysis. The role requires strong commercial awareness and the ability to monitor project financial performance while working closely with project management, engineering, commercial, and construction teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead cost control activities across construction, finishing, and interior fit-out projects.
• Develop, monitor, and maintain project budgets and cost plans.
• Prepare accurate project cost forecasts and financial projections.
• Manage Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) processes and reporting.
• Prepare regular cost-control and financial performance reports.
• Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets.
• Analyze project costs and identify potential cost risks and variances.
• Evaluate and track variations and their financial impact.
• Support project teams in implementing effective cost-control measures.
• Review project financial data and provide cost analysis to management.
• Coordinate with commercial, procurement, engineering, and project management teams.
• Monitor commitments, actual costs, forecasts, and remaining project expenditure.
• Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and financial performance.
• Provide reliable cost information to support project decision-making.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering.
• 8+ years of professional experience in construction cost control.
• Proven experience working on finishing and interior fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of project budgets and cost forecasting.
• Practical experience with Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR).
• Strong cost reporting and cost analysis capabilities.
• Experience managing and assessing variations.
• Strong understanding of construction project cost management.
• KSA construction experience is highly preferred.
• GCC experience on large-scale construction projects is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
