Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to join a technology team in Abu Dhabi, UAE, with a focus on Open Finance, API automation, Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) testing, and data validation. This position is suited to quality engineering professionals with 6–8+ years of API automation testing experience, particularly within banking, financial services, FinTech, Open Banking, or Open Finance environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing automated API testing, validating REST APIs and financial data, performing data transformation and reconciliation testing, and supporting enterprise integrations. Strong experience with Playwright API, Rest Assured, PyTest, SQL, OAuth2, JWT, JSON Schema Validation, and programming languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, or Python is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated API testing frameworks and test suites.
• Perform API automation testing using Playwright API, Rest Assured, and PyTest.
• Validate REST APIs and enterprise integrations across complex technology environments.
• Test OAuth2 authentication and authorization workflows.
• Validate JWT-based authentication and security mechanisms.
• Perform JSON Schema validation for API responses and data structures.
• Conduct Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) testing and data validation.
• Develop and execute SQL queries for data validation, transformation, and reconciliation.
• Validate data consistency across source and target systems.
• Test API Gateways, middleware, and enterprise integration components.
• Support Open Finance and Open Banking API testing initiatives.
• Validate financial data-sharing workflows and integration processes.
• Collaborate with development, architecture, data, product, and business teams.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with Git, Docker, and Agile development practices.
• Identify, document, investigate, and track software defects.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA automation strategies and testing processes.
• Support testing activities involving Kafka, MQ, and event-streaming technologies where applicable.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 6–8+ years of professional experience in API automation testing.
• Strong experience within Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, Open Banking, or Open Finance environments.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright API.
• Strong experience with Rest Assured and PyTest.
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, or Python.
• Experience validating REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of OAuth2, JWT, and JSON Schema Validation.
• Strong knowledge of Enterprise Data Platform testing.
• Advanced SQL skills.
• Experience with data transformation and data reconciliation.
• Experience with Open Finance or Open Banking.
• Knowledge of API Gateways, middleware, and enterprise integrations.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git.
• Experience with Docker and Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of Kafka, MQ, or event-streaming technologies is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, Open Banking, or Open Finance.
• Knowledge of Consent Management.
• Understanding of API security and financial data-sharing concepts.
