Job Overview

A leading organization is seeking an experienced Planner / Lead Planner to support major capital projects, maintenance shutdowns, and turnaround activities in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have 10–15 years of professional planning experience within the petrochemical, oil and gas, or refining industries, with strong exposure to complex industrial projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing integrated EPC/EPFC, Brownfield, revamp, debottlenecking, and Turnaround schedules. The role requires advanced knowledge of construction sequencing, plant shutdown planning, resource loading, critical path analysis, and project schedule management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules for major capital projects.
  • Prepare and maintain integrated EPC/EPFC project schedules.
  • Develop and manage Brownfield, revamp, and debottlenecking schedules.
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance shutdown and Turnaround activities.
  • Establish and monitor project baselines, milestones, and critical activities.
  • Perform critical path analysis and identify schedule risks.
  • Develop construction sequencing strategies for complex industrial projects.
  • Support plant shutdown planning and Turnaround execution schedules.
  • Perform resource loading and monitor resource requirements.
  • Track project progress against approved schedules.
  • Analyze schedule performance and identify potential delays.
  • Coordinate planning activities with engineering, procurement, construction, and project management teams.
  • Prepare schedule updates, forecasts, and project planning reports.
  • Utilize Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office for planning and reporting activities.
  • Support project teams in developing recovery and mitigation plans where required.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 10–15 years of professional experience in project planning.
  • Strong planning experience within petrochemical, oil and gas, or refining industries.
  • Proven experience as a Lead Planner or Project Planner.
  • Experience with Turnaround (TA), Brownfield, revamp, and debottlenecking projects.
  • Extensive experience developing and managing integrated EPC/EPFC schedules.
  • Hands-on proficiency with Primavera P6.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing.
  • Strong experience in plant shutdown and Turnaround planning.
  • Knowledge of resource loading and critical path analysis.
  • Experience working on projects in the Middle East is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in complex industrial project environments.
