Job Overview

SOL Business Solutions is seeking an Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role will be responsible for core accounting activities through the Odoo ERP system, supporting financial reporting, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, and monthly and annual closing activities.

The successful candidate will work closely with financial data and accounting processes while ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and Saudi regulatory requirements. Strong practical knowledge of Odoo Accounting/Finance modules, IFRS, Saudi VAT, ZATCA requirements, and e-invoicing through FATOORA is mandatory or highly relevant to the position.

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions, including journal entries, invoices, receipts, and payments, in Odoo ERP.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Process invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Perform customer and supplier reconciliations.
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger.
• Ensure accurate and consistent use of the Odoo chart of accounts.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
• Prepare accruals, prepayments, and depreciation entries.
• Prepare VAT returns and support tax-related filings in accordance with ZATCA requirements.
• Support Saudi e-invoicing and FATOORA compliance requirements.
• Assist with financial statements and management reports, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
• Monitor petty cash, employee expense claims, and advances.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules within Odoo.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate and confidential accounting records.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• 1–4 years of professional accounting experience, with a maximum of 4 years.
• Proven hands-on experience with Odoo ERP Accounting/Finance modules is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS.
• Good understanding of Saudi VAT and ZATCA requirements.
• Knowledge of Saudi e-invoicing and FATOORA requirements.
• SOCPA membership or progress toward SOCPA, CMA, or ACCA certification is an advantage.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Practical experience with journal entries, invoicing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple accounting tasks and meet reporting deadlines.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
• Good English communication skills.
• Arabic language skills are an advantage.
